- Abstract
The purpose of this research is to study effect of caricature as an alternative educational tool in the biology teaching. Pretest-posttest experimental design with control group was utilized. The experimental group was taught by caricature based teaching method and the control group was taught by traditional method. Two classes from eleventh graders going to Mecidiye Anadolu secondary school in Erzurum joined to this study. The effect of caricature based teaching method on achievement of students was measured by using a success test, include 13 questions of immunity system, as pre-post test. As a result, caricature technique is more efficient in elevating the students' success in biology teaching than traditional methods.
