- Abstract
The article focuses on a study of the bone mass and strength of type 2 diabetes elderly men. The study used a peripheral quantitative computed tomography to determine the effects of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) on bone volumetric density, bone geometry and bone strength and it was participated by men 65 years-old or less who has already participated in the study, Osteoporotic Fractures in Men. The study disclosed that the data it obtained suggest that T2DM older men has lower bone strength compared to body weight.
