- Abstract
The article presents a study of the adaptive response of in vivo ulna loading in androgen receptor (AR)-estrogen receptor-alpha (ERα) knockout (KO) mice and corresponding male and female single KO and wild-type (WT) littermates through dynamic histomorphometry and immunohistochemistry. The animals were bought from the Jackson Laboratory. They concluded that AR limits the osteogenic response to loading in male mice possibly via an effect on wingless/integrated (WNT) signaling.
