- Abstract
The article reports on the historical photographic collection of George Eastman House in Rochester, New York. The three main components of Eastman Historical Photographic Collection in 1947 include the Patent Museum which consisted all the apparatus made by the Company and comparable cameras and equipment made by others. While, two were important private collections that were acquired which include Professor J. M. Eder in Vienna in 192 and of Gabriel Cromer in Paris in 1939. Eder was one of the leading original workers and teachers in photographic research and the graphic arts field.
