The article offers information about various issues related to medical malpractice such as cost-control, and the role of medical standards as safe harbors. It discusses various doctrines and the remedy-centric damage-cap approach to execute reforms in the area. Cost-escalation, and establishing medical liability are the perspectives that the Quality Improvement Organizations take into account. Ex-ante medical guidelines and standards should be considered as safe harbors by medical personnel.
