- Abstract
The article focuses on the importance of lawyers acting independently to the interests of their clients. It discusses the England Court of Appeals' judgment in the case of Wheeler v. Le Marchant, regarding the confidentiality of communication between lawyers and their clients. It states that International Society for the Promotion of the Public Interest of Lawyer Independence (ISPPILI) helps lawyers who are not independent to advocate for independence and self-regulation.
