- Abstract
The article explains the complex rules governing individual retirement account (IRA) and in determining the correct life expectancies to use in calculating required minimum distributions. It is emphasized that a trust should not be named beneficiary of an IRA without considering the provisions of the trust and the requirement necessary to obtain the beneficiary status. Moreover, they should be able to comply with the requirements set by the law.
