The article focuses on the making of the document Charter of Cologne (Kolner Kartause) on Reformation in Cologne, Germany in the year 1535. It highlights the involvement of German theologian Philip Melanchthon as freemason in the Reformation. It discusses the authentication of the document related to forgeries, traditions, ecclesiastical history and authorship of forged and pseudepigraphal texts.
