- Abstract
The article focuses on the nature of logical systems. It notes that the function of logical systems is vital in understanding the behavior of living organisms or complex systems. It relates a conversation between Nobel Prize Winner Sydney Brenner and biologist Kurt Godel at the Institute of Advanced Studies in Princeton, New Jersey in which they talked about the concept of binding site. It also discusses why modal logic philosopher David Lewis selected kangaroos as a model formal axiomatic system.
