- Abstract
The author reflects on the diagnostic error claims, which are considered as the most common litigation category against general practitioners. She says that diagnostic error allegations account for almost 45% of the overall claims against the general practitioners in Australia. She mentions the most common diagnostic errors found by a study, including failure to make a right follow-up plan, diagnostic tests' incorrect interpretation, and failure to carry out an adequate physical examination.
