- Abstract
The article focuses on the use of computer-based training module called Virtual Language Patient, in the second language (L2) training of healthcare professionals. It states that the module uses automatic speech recognition (ASR) technology, assessment of pronunciation, and video clips of interview of minority language patient. It states that the module could help to reduce linguistic barriers between minority patients and healthcare professionals.
