- Abstract
The article focuses on the collaboration between the National University of Singapore (NUS) School of Design and Environment (SDE) and Yale University School of Forestry and Environmental Studies in Connecticut for an Urban Metabolism Study for sustainable development. Objectives of the study include estimation and mapping out of materials and energy flows in the built environment, use of land-use planning in scare resources management and promotion of a more sustainable urban environment.
