- Abstract
The article titled "Prolonged retention of deciduous teeth in dental eruption. Case report" describes a clinical case of a 14-year-old male patient who presents the persistence of 8 deciduous teeth in his mixed dentition. Extractions and an incision are performed to aid in the extrusion of the teeth. It is concluded that various systemic diseases can influence tooth development and that in this case, the persistence of deciduous dentition is due to incomplete resorption of the deciduous roots. On the other hand, the article also addresses the topic of skin integrity deterioration and describes a case of a 75-year-old patient with a pressure ulcer in the sacral region. Nursing care is applied and the patient's condition is improved. The keywords of the article are: dental eruption, dental exfoliation, permanent dentition, primary tooth, pressure ulcer, nursing care, and Nursing Process.
