- Abstract
The article overviews the "Fortune" magazine's 2008 world's largest companies. Companies are judged according to their annual performances, revenues and sales. It also contains some interested tidbits about the trends and developments in the business world. Wal-Mart Stores Inc. has emerged the world's top largest firm with more than $379 billion in sales. It is followed by Exxon Mobil Corp. with $373 billion in sales. It also presents the top 500 headquarters by nation including Great Britain, Japan and France. Despite the economic crisis and terrorist attacks, airlines and shipping companies still perform positive in the global market.
