The article presents a study which investigated the changes in the cell surface of cadmium (Cd)-resistant Euglena gracilis. The study performed flow cytometry measurements and lectin-binding techniques. Results revealed that N-acetyl-galactosamine and galactose were expressed by the cells of Euglena in exponential growth.
