- Abstract
In this study, the performance of a direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC) was investigated by changing the distance between the nozzle and grounded electrodes of the electrospray equipment. Moreover, the diameter and velocity of the droplets were examined using a phase doppler anemometer. Additionally, when the gap distance was 40 mm, the droplet size was smaller, and the velocity was higher than that when the gap distance was 50 mm. When the gap distance was 40 mm, DMFC exhibited superior performance because the catalyst has additional pores owing to the small droplet size.
