- Abstract
A recent meta-analysis investigated the effectiveness of progestin therapy in advanced and recurrent endometrial cancer. The study found that progestin therapy may have positive outcomes in terms of clinical benefit and toxicity. However, there are concerns about the overall quality of the included literature, as many studies had a moderate or high risk of bias. Additionally, there were significant variations in progestin type and dosage among the studies, which could impact the reliability and generalizability of the conclusions. It is also unclear which subtype of endometrial cancer, advanced or recurrent, is more likely to benefit from progestin therapy. Conducting subgroup analyses based on the cancer subtypes would provide valuable insights for personalized treatment strategies.
