- Authors
Braun, John R.; Tinley, John J.
- Abstract
The article investigates the fakability of the Edwards Personality Inventory (EPI) booklets IA, II, and III. The article states that two hundred and one undergraduates completed one of the EN booklets under either standard (control) or faking (experimental) instructions. Differences between control and experimental means reached significance on 17 of the 40 scales. Eight variables were significantly affected by the faking instructions in both Booklets IA and Ill, while only one variable was affected in Booklet II.
