- Abstract
The article reports on the clinical case of a 30-year old woman who developed cyclosporine-induced optic neuropathy with a normal therapeutic level of cyclosporine. Clinical findings revealed positive oculus sinister (OS) relative afferent pupillary defect and relative superior scotoma. Reduction of cyclosporin A dosage resulted to an improvement of the patient's visual field. The researchers concluded the potential of cyclosporin A treatment without bone marrow transplantation to evoke neuropathy with normal therapeutic levels of cyclosporin.
