- Abstract
This article discusses a case study of a 46-year-old Caucasian woman with fibromuscular dysplasia (FMD) who experienced migraines without aura followed by seizures. The patient had multiple aneurysms, vessel tortuosity, and stenotic tracts in her intracranial vessels, which were consistent with the diagnosis of cranial FMD. Treatment with valproic acid successfully controlled both the migraines and seizures. The article suggests that the presence of structural lesions, such as vascular malformations, may cause migraines associated with seizures. This case is considered an uncommon secondary case of migralepsy.
