EXPERIENCIAS ORGANIZATIVAS EN LA INDUSTRIA MAQUILADORA DE MÉXICO.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the organizational experiences in the assembly and fabrication industry in Mexico. The article has two purposes. First, it shows the distinctions in regard to objectives, boundary line of action, and the relationship of labor organizations, especially unions, with its members in the fabrication and assembly workshops in northern Mexico. Secondly, it exposes certain types of organizations that exist within the industry that are not well-known, such as independent unions and labor coalitions. The author tries to demonstrate the importance of the unions in the establishment of industrial labor conditions. The legal obstacles faced by the companies and the government in establishing these conditions are also explored.
