- Abstract
The modern history of Yemen the country which is one of the most frequented place of human history and expressed to be land of happiness is now filled with conflicts and problems. The unstable society and structure of the country were the result of the activities southern separatist groups, Iranian backed Shiite Houthi Movement, al-Qaida's presence and repressive policies of former dictator Ali Abdullah Saleh regime. Injustices of an authoritarian regime also caused poverty which at the end led Yemen not to be able to use and benefit from its own resources and potentials even though having a strategic geopolitical position at the region. In addition to these problems the country faces too much external interferences that feed the instability of the country portraying that instability itself has become stability of the political scene. In this context, the main purpose of this study is to examine the basic dynamics of the revolution against the oppression and unjust administration in Yemen. The study also focuses on how the new era will be shaped after a popular revolution through the country's structural problems. The other issue to be taken into consideration will be how much of the reform demands will be realized under the shadow of structural problems and how successful will be the Yemeni revolution.
