The author discusses biographical narration and the philosophical and ethical issues in the act of narration and biographical storytelling. Topics include the telling of a life story and its dominance in contemporary literature, the biographical narration in ancient Greek literature, the work of philosopher Hannah Arendt on the creations of Greek poet and singer Homer, who is considered as the father of individual stories and collective history, and the relationship between stories and history.
