- Abstract
The article reports that langerhans cells and indeterminate cells are the unique antigen-presenting epidermal cell participating in human lympho-epidermal interactions. Indirect immunoflourescence and immmunogold electron microscopy on class II positive epidermal cell enriched suspensions indicate two populations of DR-positive epidermal cells, that are strongly DR-positive cells and faintly DR-positive cells. T-cell responses to antigens are restricted by products of the major histocompatibility complex.
