- Abstract
This document summarizes a study on inherited coagulation factor VII deficiency (FVIID) in Taiwan. The study examined the genetic features, clinical presentations, and laboratory findings of 33 patients with FVIID. The patients had varying levels of FVII:C and experienced symptoms such as mucocutaneous bleeding and postoperative hemorrhage. The study identified two new genetic variants and found a wide range of bleeding manifestations. Treatment options for bleeding events included fresh frozen plasma, prothrombin complex concentrate, recombinant activated coagulation factor VII (rFVIIa), and oral tranexamic acid. The study contributes to our understanding of FVIID in Taiwan.
