- Abstract
In a first round, we looked for studies describing anti-inflammatory effects for Ceylon cinnamon, hops, and their major compounds. Anti-inflammatory effects of cinnamon extract and identification of active compounds influencing the TLR2 and TLR4 signaling pathways. Ethanolic extracts of Ceylon cinnamon possess anti-inflammatory activity and antagonize TLR2 and TLR4 activation in a dose-dependent manner with minimal effects on viability in cell culture (Kanuri et al., [32]; Schink et al., [73]). Effect of water-soluble cinnamon extract on electrocardiographic parameters: an analysis of the CiNNaMON trial.
