- Abstract
The article presents a study which examines the operative and perinatal aspects of fetal endoscopic tracheal occlusion (FETO) as treatment for severe congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH). In this study, the researchers observe that the survival rate in fetuses with left CDH treated with FETO increased from 24.1% to 49.1% while in right CDH the survival increased from 0% to 35.3%. Result of the study finds that FETO in severe CDH is a substantial improvement in survival.
