- Abstract
The article presents a study which evaluates the performance of screening fro pre-eclampsia by uterine artery Doppler pulsatility index (PI) at 11 + 0 to 13 + 6 weeks' gestation and the change in uterine artery PI between 11 + 0 to 13 + 6 and 21 + 0 to 24 + 6 weeks. Findings of the study show that the decrease in the uterine artery PI between 11 to 13 and 21 to 24 weeks gestation is steeper in pregnancies with normal outcome than in those developing pre-eclampsia.
