- Abstract
The article presents a study which examined the way general practitioners (GP) belonging to diabetes care networks (DCN) in France diagnose patients with type 2 diabetes using the levels of HbA1c and microalbuminuria. The adherence of GP to guidelines for diabetes monitoring is evaluated based on health insurance reimbursement databases, oral hypoglycemic agents prescription and association with GP network membership. The result of the study confirmed the outcomes of other studies.
