- Authors
Gauthier, Darcy
- Abstract
The article focuses on the nuclear fission that is part of the film "Hiroshima Mon Amour," produced and directed by Marguerite Duras and Alain Resnais, which depicts the first nuclear bombing in Hiroshima Bay, Japan. It features images taken from the movie which portray the stereoscopic nature of the entire story and serves as symbolic representations of the real scenario during the incident. It also notes that the film affects the tactility and visuality of the viewers and was able to arouse their sense of sympathy. Moreover, traces of the tragic incident were demonstrated and were shown clearly in this movie.
