- Abstract
The article discusses two recent astronomical discoveries. The first is the discovery of an ancient group of stars orbiting the Milky Way, known as Ursa Major 3/UNIONS 1 (UMa3/U1). This satellite consists of only 60 bright stars and is the faintest satellite of the Milky Way known to date. The presence of dark matter in UMa3/U1 is highly likely, which is important for understanding its origin. The second discovery is the detection of high lithium abundance in a Cepheid variable star called V470 Cas. This finding suggests that there is still much to learn about the evolution of these stars.
