- Title
COMMENTARY.power distribution across the face of different light guides and its effect on composite surface microhardness.
- Authors
Ferracane, Jack L.
- Abstract
The article comments on the study of light distribution using the method of visible light energy for initiating the polymerization of resin dental composites in dentistry. It states that lights distribution varies across the surface of the light guides used for dental curing units, especially the so-called "turbo tips" that is used in light-emitting diode (LED) lights. Accordingly, two lessons can be learned from the study, the facts on the evidence for the nonuniformity distribution of lights.
