- Abstract
The article focuses development of art restitution jurisprudence in the U.S. regarding Nazi-expropriated art in particular, and the procedural obstacles that have prevented claimants from recovering their art . Topics include acquiring jurisdiction over foreign sovereigns that had the Nazi expropriated art in their possession; statutes of limitations under state law; and enactment of Holocaust Expropriated Art Recovery Act of 2016 for same. It also informs on the take of Congress on same.
