- Abstract
A field experiment was conducted during rabi season of 2010-11 at Agricultural Research Farm of the College of Agriculture, Bikaner (Rajasthan) to study the response of vermi compost and sulphur levels on mustard (Brassica juncea). The treatments consisted of four levels of vermi compost (0, 2, 4 arid 6 t/ha) and four levels sulphur (0,20, 40 and 60 kg/ha) applied through elemental sulphur were tested in randomized block design replicated thrice. Application of 6 t/ha vermi compost and 40 kg S/ha significantly increased seed and stover yield and yield attributes as compared to control. Oil content and total uptake of N, P,K and S increased significantly up to 6 t vermi compost/ha and 60 kg S/ha. Highest net return was recorded with the application of 6 t vermi compost/ ha and 40 kg S/ha but benefit: cost ratio was recorded highest with the application of 4 t vermi compost/ha and 40 kg S/ha.
