Reproducción y densidad poblacional en tres especies de aves Thamnophilidae del bosque seco tropical, Tolima.

- Abstract
Las especies Thamnophilus doliatus, Formicivora grisea y Myrmeciza longipes han sido registradas en el departamento del Tolima, asociadas a vegetación en regeneración, bosques secundarios y bordes de bosque en la zona de vida Bosque Seco Tropical (bs-T). Sin embargo, con los registros de sus abundancias en diferentes localidades, no hay información demográfica de estas especies en la región, desconociendo los requerimientos específicos de hábitat y su asociación con diferentes elementos del paisaje. Por otro lado, existen vacíos de información en la delimitación de los periodos reproductivos de estas aves en esta región del país. Como objetivos, se planteó establecer la temporalidad reproductiva y la densidad poblacional de estas especies entre épocas climáticas y relacionar la densidad con elementos del paisaje. Se consultaron las bases de datos del Programa de Monitoreo de Aves (PMA) en Armero- Guayabal del periodo 2010-2013, registrando los estados reproductivos y comparando la fecha de los datos con las precipitaciones para determinar la temporalidad reproductiva. Para estimar la densidad, se realizaron transectos lineales en tres localidades (Armero-Guayabal, Potrerillo y Chaco) entre 4700 y 6763m de longitud, registrando las distancias perpendiculares y procesando los datos con el programa Distance 6.0, obteniendo el número de individuos por hectárea (Ind/ha). Para el análisis de paisaje, se digitalizaron mapas con el programa ArcGis 10.1®, con ventanas de 1225ha y utilizando las métricas del paisaje (número de parches y área de cobertura). Con esto, se realizó una prueba de regresión lineal entre las variables métricas vs la densidad para determinar la relación de estas variables. Se encontró mayor abundancia de individuos reproductivos de T. doliatus y F. grisea en marzo-abril (lluvias). La densidad global promedio para T. doliatus (0.53 Ind/ha) fue mayor a M. longipes (0.23 Ind/ha). Por localidad, T. doliatus presentó densidades altas en lluvias en Armero-Guayabal (0.783 Ind/ha) y El Chaco (0.261 Ind/ha), M. longipes presentó mayor densidad en sequía en Armero-Guayabal (0.319 Ind/ha). El análisis de paisaje, la densidad de T. doliatus no se relacionó con el área de cobertura del bosque ripario (R2=0.12, t=0.05, p=0.96), se observó una relación directamente proporcional con el área de cobertura del matorral, pero no fue significativa (R2=0.92, t=0.65, p=0.63); por otro lado, la densidad de M. longipes no se relacionó con el área de cobertura del bosque ripario (R2=0.16, t=0.36, p=0.78). Los datos sugieren que la dinámica reproductiva de T. doliatus y F. grisea se asociaron con las precipitaciones. Además, la época climática es un factor que podría variar las densidades de estas especies en la región, sin estar influenciada por la estructura del paisaje en las localidades estudiadas.
