- Abstract
ln view of the limitation of single subjective or objective weighting in the existing recommendation methods of clothing size, the weights of each part index were determined by combining analytic hierarchy process (subjective weighting method) and grey relational analysis (objective weighting method) . According lo the national size standard, a hierarchical model of garment size was established, which included three secondary indexes, eight third-level indexes and six fourth-level indexes. Three samples were randomly selected for empirical study, and the recommended results of this method were compared with those of single weighting method. The results showed that the optimal size recommended by the three methods were same, but there were great differences in the order of some types. The optimal size of the three samples were 175/92A, 180/96A and 170/92B, respectively. Although all three methods meet the requirements, the grey relational analytic hierarchy process was superior to the single weighting method in both theoretical and practical sense. lt was found that the grey relational degree hierarchy analysis was a powerful tool to realize the clothing size recommendation technology.
