- Abstract
The article offers information about the potential of evidence-based health care (EBHC) to transform health care. It states that EBHC can reduce medical errors, control health care costs and improve patient outcomes. It outlines the five steps for EBHC, such as converting the need for clinical information into an answerable question and Critically appraise the evidence for validity, impact and applicability. It also integrates the evidence with clinical expertise and the patient's unique circumstances and preferences, and evaluates effectiveness and efficiency in executing.
