- Abstract
The article presents a study which discusses the melt polymerization of thermoplastic shape memory polyurethane and the fabrication of shape memory hollow fiber through melt spinning. It states that static tensile and thermo-mechanical cyclic tensile testing described the fiber's shape memory effect. Furthermore, the study recommended that hollow fiber with thermal sensitive internal diameter could be applicable in smart filtration, drug-controlled release, and liquid transportation.
