The article introduces a Zen approach to identify jaegers in Colorado. This approach is described as how people evaluate their perception of what they think they are seeing. Some field marks to look at on jaegers in Colorado include those in the tail, upper-and undertail coverts, and wings. Four qualifiers, namely, definitive, highly suggestive, suggestive, and weakly suggestive, are utilized to describe the relative degree of certainty for each of the field marks.
