- Abstract
The article discusses research on epigastric mass and acute kidney failure. It references a study by Dirk R. Kuypers and colleagues, published in the September 1, 2008 issue of "NDT Plus." The researchers studied the case of a 77-year-old woman with oliguria, vomiting and dysphagia. Her medical history included a congenital form of lumbar scoliosis. Clinical examination showed a painful and dull epigastric mass. They found the association between severe scoliosis and transient internal organ displacement.
