- Authors
Andresen, Brit
- Abstract
The article focuses on the architectural design of Alvar Aalto and Jørn Utzon which supports ancient gathering forms of hillside and valley. It asserts that Alto designs a single room in a way that it brings the architectural idea for a collection of rooms in a building. On the other hand, it states that the constructed plateau in Utzon's poetic work is designed to illustrate a world set apart. It claims that in the works of the two architects, the valley reconfigured invites social grouping, while the hill calls for isolation for gathering.
