- Title
Neutron scattering from quantum condensed matter.
- Authors
Bramwell, Steven T.; Keimer, Bernhard
- Abstract
The authors discuss neutron scattering from quantum condensed matter as a way to visualize the microscopic arrangement of spins on the atomic scale. Topics discussed include the physics of magnetic materials and their antiferromagnetic interactions, the two-dimensional (2D) Ising model, and superfluidity and superconductivity. Also mentioned is the Bardeenâ€Cooperâ€Schrieffer theory of superconductivity.
