- Abstract
The authors discuss the aspects of light propagation and the unidirectional invisibility from exceptional points that combined states of an open system in photonic media. They are critical on the concept of the magic cloak worn by the fictional wizard Harry Potter, which makes him invisible due to the reciprocity of light. They comment on the use of photonic crystals in manipulating the light propagation and in controlling light-matter interactions.
