- Abstract
The article focuses on the importance of physical education (PE) among preschool children which helps increase their self-esteem and behavior. It states that PE program allows children to develop spatial and body awareness and practice and refine their motor skills. It says that preschool teachers must regularly and developmentally appropriate PE as an important part of the daily routines. It adds that a physical education plan for young children instruction and assessment must be created and implemented. It mentions that the motor development and physical fitness of children can be intentionally addressed through a dance activity, the use of jumping jacks, and providing climbing equipment for physical play.
