- Abstract
The article presents a research study which investigates whether family functioning in the post-disaster environment would be impaired on a non-exposed sample and potential correlates with family functioning such as disaster-related exposure and child posttraumatic mental health symptoms. It cites the high prevalence of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in adults following natural disasters. Details on the result of the study are provided.
