- Abstract
The article discusses how English author Charles John Huffam Dickens' famous pseudonym survived for a time in publishers' advertisements. Topics discussed include the transition of one pseudonym to other that exploited the commercial attractiveness of it, publishing of Dickens' novel "Dombey and Son" in several installments from 1946-1948 and attributions of authorship of Dickens's novels as they were announced in publishers' press advertisements.
