- Abstract
The article offers poetry criticism of the poem "The Silence of Plants," by the Polish poet Wisława Szymborska, from the 1999 book "Poems New and Collected." It explores the poet's voice, suggested to be emphasized through the use of personal pronouns. It suggests that the poem contrasts the voice of the author with the silence of plants.
