- Abstract
The article focuses on guidelines for maternity care and family medicine in the U.S. The latest guidance from the Review Committee for Family Medicine (RC-FM) states that residents must receive training to perform clinical procedures required in ambulatory and hospital care. In response to the guidance, the Council of Academic Family Medicine (CAFM) and the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine (STFM) formed task forces for a standardized competency assessment of residents.
