The article reports on an excavation of the Gotier Hammock site, an Indian burial mound and midden on Saint Joseph Bay, Florida. The site is known to have been looted by treasure-hunters prior to an excavation by archaeologist C.B. Moore in 1902. It is named after the Gautier family, who established a homestead there in the 1800s. The artifacts which were found are described in detail.
