The author reflects on the threatening condition of species conservation at the local level in New South Wales. The author cites the impact of the Eden Woodchip industry, the anti-logging campaigns of Terania Creek, and the Blackbutt Plateau. He urges the implementation of the Threatened Species Conservation (TSC) Act of 1995 by the Land and Environment Court that focuses on the threatened species issues brought by mining activities and resort construction.
